Christmas '07

Well Christmas was finally here! Here is our beautiful tree on Christmas morning. I love Christmas trees cause they are so pretty. On Christmas morning we got up and made waffles and then opened our presents. Below is Justin and his big present.
This next picture is me with a lot of the new movies we got. We tend to increase our collection every Christmas. And I finally got Veronica Mars season 3! Yay! I can't believe they cancelled it. Oh well, now I have all 3 seasons to enjoy at home.
After all the presents we went and spent the day with Justin's family and ate a ton of food and then watched That Thing You Do which I hadn't seen in years. It was a fun day. Then this Thursday my fam came to visit and we saw the Temple lights and then watched Shrek the third on our new HD DVD player. It was fun. Well I better go, we will be having a New Years party and I need to clean!!

December Update

Well I am finally getting around to posting again! This is my monthly pregnancy picture of me at 7 months. Every month I think that I can't be that much bigger and then I see the picture and I am. The next picture is how foggy it was this morning. This is the view from our backyard It was kinda crazy - I felt like I was in CA.
This picture is how I found Bella one day a few weeks ago when I got home from the store. I guess it was so cold in the house she had to snuggle with the clean clothes!

The latest news with the baby is that everything seems fine. I failed my first glucose test and so I had to go back and do the 3 hour test, but my results came back normal and I am fine. I can tell that this is the third trimester already though because I am exhausted again. And I got done with my classes! As long as I got a C in both I am done with school. FINALLY!! I am way excited. All my time is now spent either working or Christmas shopping. I will post again after Christmas!

Me and my belly

Hi everyone!! Well I am finally posting. This picture is my belly a week ago at 24 weeks. Huge huh!! I feel like I am already 9 mo., but I still have 3 more months. Well the other big news is that this weekend Justin finished my car. Here it is from the back:
I love the new color. The next picture has the pearl showing from the sun. It is so nice not to look so white trash when I drive!!
Other than that we have been busy! We finally had our builder come over to fix a few things and that has been a headache! But we are mostly done, now we just have to fix some of what they did. And this past weekend we spent some time with Justin's fam since his sister Steph is down from BYU. It was fun. This coming week we will be going to CA for turkey day so I will post more soon! Have a great Thanksgiving!!

Everything Baby

Hi again! I thought I would just post a few things real quick. This picture was taken 1 week ago at 20 weeks for everyone who wants to see my belly get bigger and bigger! I sure am starting to feel big and I know I have a ways to go still.

Baby's first pink outfits!!

And finally this is a blanket that I am crocheting for the new baby. It is still only about half done but I have some time yet! I wanted the baby to have something that I made. Well that is all for now!

IT'S A GIRL!!!!

Hi everyone! I know that we have kept everyone in suspense long enough so here is the big news and the pictures! We are having a baby girl! We are really excited and the doctor is pretty sure that it really is a girl.
This is a profile view of the baby's face.

This is the gender picture. The 2 long things are her legs and the + sign is where boy parts should be, so because there isn't anything there it's a girl!!

This last picture is a profile again and the 2 white things that the arrows are pointing at are the baby's hands. She put her fists up in front of her face like a boxer does and the doctor thought it was really cute and tried to take a picture. It didn't turn out as well as seeing it, but it was adorable! So the wait is over and now I can go out and buy some pink clothes! How exciting is this! The doctor measured everything and it looks like the baby is healthy and developing just right! The heart, brain, and other organs are all functioning fine and the baby is about a pound. We are so excited that she is healthy! Something I've noticed in the past week is that she loves the car. As soon as I start driving anywhere she starts kicking me! She must have inherited her dad's need for speed! Well we will keep you posted!

Happy B-day Justin!!

Well I am finally posting again. Justin's 25th B-day was yesterday and we had fun. He had to work in the morning but later that night we met at his parents' house and all his relatives me. It was fun, we played Catchphrase and Scattergories. Those games can get pretty competitive! Then we ate some cake and Justin opened his presents. Also he bought himself a present of a Playstation 3 this week because it was a great deal so now we have one of those too! Here are some pics of the party. Well that is all that was exciting in the last few weeks. I am now job free, but I will be starting a new job in 2 weeks. This one should be easier and I will be able to work from home after a while. That's exciting! Well I gotta go, this week my grandparents are coming and on Friday we get to find out what we are having!! I will post again soon!

Saturday, September 29, 2007

Yay, it's Saturday!

Ok, so I know I haven't posted in forever so here is my post for the week. On Wednesday I had another Dr.'s appointment and it went well. I got to listen to the baby's heartbeat again and it sounded good. We also scheduled my ultrasound for October 26th, so that is exciting. Only a month to go and we will FINALLY find out what we are having! School has been crazy and I have been working on writing a paper for my psych class that is taking a long time. But it is due on Monday so we had better get it done soon! And this week was nice because all my favorite shows finally had their season premieres. I was exited. Also I finally put up curtains in my bedroom! I am still going to put up a valance, but for now this is what they look like:
Sorry, it's not a great picture, but they look pretty good. And then for my other story. I posted a while ago a picture of a spider in a perfect web in out tree, but then we didn't see a web or the spider again since we took the picture. Well last night I dragged out garbage can to the back yard and thought, "hey I should check for that spider again. Well I did and guess what. It had another perfect web and it is HUGE now! It is white and yellow and has huge fangs and is really ugly. You can see the web pretty good if you loo close, but look how big that spider is even compared to the leaf. Pretty freaky huh!!
Well I better go cause I have to clean the house and take a shower and stuff cause it's finally Saturday!! Only 2 more weeks of work and then I am free! Alright I really better go cause the cat is eating some paper I left on the desk.

Our Stake Conference

Hi everyone! I am actually posting again this week. I don't think I've done that before. Well we just had Stake Conference today and Elder Henry B. Eyring of the Quorum of the Twelve was there. It was really cool to be able to sit in the same building as an Apostle of the Lord. (For those of you reading this that aren't LDS, Elder Eyring is one of the leaders of the LDS faith.) I love listening to Apostles because they take no notes up to the pulpit. They speak for 45 minutes from the scriptures and nothing else. What a great blessing to have him here.
Ok, I had to finally post this picture. This is our cat Bella and if you can't tell that is my pillow that she is snuggled up against. This is how she sleeps all night long. Now, usually she is halfway on my pillow. She has to snuggle and be touching me in some way all night long. Also she thinks that I need a bath sometimes and every night at around 2 am she decides to start licking my face with her completely rough tongue and wake me up just for fun. If I ever put my hand near her mouth she licks it too. I have tried to break her of the habit, but I think she really thinks that she is doing me some sort of favor. Crazy cat!!
Ok, this last picture is of my stomach (obviously). I have decided that it will be fun to take a side view picture every week after church to document how big I am getting. In the last week I have grown a lot but that shirt also makes me look bigger. It s so exciting to finally look at least a little pregnant though. So that is my picture for week 16. I will post my new picture each week, until I get too fat and then sorry, but I will just keep those pictures to myself. Anyways I better go, dinner is almost done (super spicy crockpot tacos!).

Cool Spiderweb

Hey all! Well first I will write about this picture. Last night Justin went out to water our trees and he saw the coolest spider web. The picture isn't very good but you can kinda see how big it is and it was perfect. The spider was just sitting right in the middle and it was so cool we had to try and take a picture even though you can't see much. So other than that this week has been pretty crazy. School is getting busier and busier and work is getting slower and slower. But I finally set a date with my boss for my last day! I am so excited. I have wanted to quit for 2 months. My official last day of work is October 12th! Only one more month to go. And I got a new calling in church. I was pretty sad to be released as wolf den leader because I just finally started feeling like I have a handle on things there, but the Lord needs m somewhere else I guess. I am now a ward missionary and I get to be the Spanish speaker because I am the only ward missionary that speaks Spanish and I guess there are several families that need a Spanish speaker. I am actually way excited. I still don't know anything else about what a ward missionary does but it will be fun to find out. And as for the pregnancy I am doing great. My stomach keeps stretching (I can feel it even though I am not showing very much yet) and I can't button my pants anymore!! Ok so it isn't that exciting because I am still too small for pregnancy pants so I have to walk around like a nerd with the top button of my pants undone, but hey I was excited.

Labor Day and B-day Stuff

So Happy Birthday to me!! Just kidding, but I still can't believe that I am a quarter of a century old. That is so weird. Well anyways here was my past week. On Monday we went to Justin's Aunt Kathy and Uncle Bill's house and swam and ate a ton of food. It was fun and we got in probably the last swim of 2007! Justin bought me a birthday cake that said Happy Birthday and had my name. It was so cute but we didn't have a camera so I couldn't take a picture, dang it! But it tasted really good. I thought we would set the fire alarm off with all 25 candles on there but it didn't go off so that was a relief. Then on Tuesday (my B-day) I just worked then took my nap and relaxed. It was a nice day. Then on Wednesday Jamie took me to go see The Nanny Diaries and then out to eat. It was so fun. The movie was actually cute and I really liked it, plus we got to be the ONLY ones there. How awesome was that!! So if you ever want to go see a movie by yourself but don't want anyone to know about it I recommend going on a weekday early afternoon and only the person who sells you your ticket will know. Then we went to California Pizza Kitchen and it was really good. Jamie had never been and I hadn't been for about 10 years. It was fun, but everyone there was from ASU cause we were just down the street from campus. That area is so nice! It was such a blast to have a girls night and it is so crazy that Jamie and I have been super good friends for so long. Seriously I think in 1st grade we got a best friends necklace and I still have my half (somewhere). So that was my pretty exciting week! And so far the pregnancy is going well. I have been eating more and gaining weight finally (I lost 5 pounds in the first trimester) but since I don't feel sick anymore I eat every two hours! Well gotta go paint my toenails, see ya!

Baby News

Hi all!! Ok, so here is the latest about the baby. I am 13 and 1/2 weeks and we had our second doctors appointment today. Justin went with me and we were able to hear the baby's heart beat!! It was so fun. The nurse put the gel on my stomach and as soon as she touched the device to my stomach we could hear the baby. She said that it was really easy and that sometimes it takes a few minutes to find, but not our baby. It was fun. The heart rate was about 160bpm so that is pretty fast. The whole appointment probably took 10 minutes but I was just glad to hear that sound. Other than that my morning sickness has started to go away. Some days are better than others but I am just glad I am not as miserable as I was not too long ago. And my car is super ugly right now. Something went wrong with the paint and so we have to redo it but in the mean time I have to drive around a really ugly car. It is really funny the way some people look at you. So here are a few pictures. See ya!

Update

Hey everyone! I haven't been posting much lately but I have the excuse of being pregnant and sick and tired all the time so hey. Right now I am sitting at work and I am pretty bored so here I am updating everyone. The most exciting thing that I have done lately is find a new author that I love. Jamie Webb told me about her so I bought all 3 books and read them all in 2 days. They are addicting. The books are by Stephenie Meyer who is LDS and lives here is the Valley. The first book is Twilight, the second is New Moon and the third is Eclipse. The 4th book comes out in a year and I am already counting down. They are super awesome love stories and really fun to read. The author has a website at www.stepheniemeyer.com. Check it out if you think it sounds cool. I love them!! Ok, so then school started on Monday and my last 2 classes shouldn't be too bad. I have a religion class (really interesting actually to study religion from an academic viewpoint and see how misguided the world really is) and a research class for psych. It should be pretty easy and I am so excited to be done and graduate! Well Justin has been working on repainting my car these last 2 weeks and so I will post pics soon of my made-over car. It is going to be this cool blue color now instead of hot and ugly black. Well I don't have any more news for now so see ya!

Our Trip to Sedona

Us before the trip.

Justin at Tuzigoot.

Beaver Creek

Me in Sedona.

So last weekend we had a fun getaway weekend in the Sedona area. It was so nice to just get away for a few days and relax and do whatever we wanted. We went and visited Montezuma's Castle and Tuzigoot (fun but not all that exciting really). We also went to Jerome and that was fun but I would never live up there. The houses are built right out of the mountain and most hang out over cliffs. It was pretty freaky. We ate at this restaurant there called the Haunted Hamburger and it was really good. After that we rode the Verde Canyon Railroad and it was beautiful. We got to go on a starlit tour where the last hour is at night and you get to watch the stars come out and see how beautiful the night sky is. That was Friday. On Saturday we went to Sedona and drove up Oak Creek Canyon and shopped a little. All the stores have weird touristy things (if you don't believe me we saw some things called fairy divas which were gothic fairy figurines - weird) and so we got tired after about an hour of that and just went to our hotel and slept and lounged the rest of the day. It was a good vacation. But then on Monday it was hard to go back to work! So anyways that was our fun trip and now we are back and it is kind of nice because I get my afternoon nap now. I know, I know I am a wuss (but it really isn't my fault). This week is my stepsister Leah's wedding and so that should be fun.
P.S. I just watched the BBC version of Jane Eyre and it is awesome. If you like British period romances this one is great.

THE COOLEST, MOST AWESOME NEWS!!

Hi everyone! So here is our big news! I am pregnant! The baby is 9 and a half weeks and I am due on March 4th of 2008. I have had some ups and downs with this pregnancy. I had to go to the ER two and a half weeks ago because of some sever pain in my lower right stomach and they ordered an ultrasound. The pain just kind of went away but the ultrasound showed that everything was ok with the baby, but they never let me see any of the images from the ultrasound. Today I had a doctor's appointment and my doctor has ultrasound capabilities right in each room so I got to see the baby and watch the little heart beat!! It was so exciting and I got to see the little movements. The doctor gave me a picture to take home so here is our baby at 9 weeks and 3 days! You can't see very much, but the important thing is that we are both healthy and everything is developing well. I have been a little sick (yesterday I threw up for the first time - not fun at all) but other than that we are both good. And Justin is super excited too. He went into the bedroom next to ours last week and he said I think I know how I want to paint this room for the baby. He had planned it all out in his head and it was just so cute to see him house decorating for the new baby. He will kill me if he ever finds out that I put that in here, but he has never read my blog so I am not too worried. Hopefully everything keeps going smoothly!

Work changes

Hi again! Well not much has happened since I last posted but I have changed jobs. I work with the same people as before but now I will be the new office manager for both AdsVantage Media (my old employer) and Arizona Ready Response. The old office manager decided to take a new job with better benefits so I got upgraded! How exciting. At least I will be in an air conditioned office and not in a hot truck cab all day. It should be fun and I am excited. So in other news Justin's sister Amber returned home from a month long trip from China. The pictures she took were awesome and it sounded like so much fun. She brought us back some cool stuff. I got a jade bracelet and Justin got a Korean silk tie. It's cool. She also bought us Pirates 3 and Spiderman 3. When I get some pics from her I will post them. In other news my sister Bethany who is in the MTC will be leaving this week and heading to her mission in Detroit Michigan. She is really excited and got to have a devotional by Elder Uchtdorf. Other than that we are doing great here in the 110 degree weather. Love you all!

Hi Everyone!

Hey all! This is Jessica writing for the first time. Justin and I are starting this blog so that everyone can know what is happening with us (whenever we find the time to update it but hey at least we are trying right?)! We live in Queen Creek, Az and love it here. We both are busy with work and church callings and school. Justin is happy working at Honda Cars of Mesa in the bodyshop because it lets him do 2 things he loves: be around lots of cars and talk with lots of people every day. I work for a company called Adsvantage Media and I spend the majority of my time working driving an ad truck which I love because it lets me do 2 things I love: not have to talk with lots of people and listen to lots of audio books.. It is bright green and has ads that scroll. I enjoy the time that I am driving mainly because I can listen to all the audio books that I can get my hand on. We are both still in school and spend lots of time and energy with that endeavour. I will graduate this December with a BS degree in Psychology and I am excited. Justin is finishing his prereq's so that he can apply to pharmacy school in a few years. We don't have any children yet but we do have a cat named Bella that thinks she is a child and every time we are home has to be with her on a lap (like mine right now) or in the way!
A little background on Justin and I: I was born in Orem, Utah on September 4th. We lived there until I was about 3 then moved to Couer d'Alene ID. When I was 6 we moved to Mesa and have lived here ever since. I have one sister Bethany who is adopted, my mom is Kelli and my dad is Boyd. My father passed away when I was 9 in an auto accident in Phoenix. Since then my mom has remarried Craig and I have 9 step-brothers and sisters. I served a full time mission for the LDS church in the Montevideo, Uruguay Oeste Mission from Oct. 2003 to April 2005. Upon returning I got engaged to Justin on May 14th and we were sealed in the Mesa, Az temple on Aug. 6th 2005. Justin was born October 20th in Mesa, Az where he has lived since then. He has 2 sisters, Amber and Stephanie and his parents are Ron and Lesa. Justin served full time in the Chicago, Illinois South Spanish speaking mission from Aug. 2002 until July 2004, so we both speak Spanish (my accent is way better though). We met in 1999 when we both attended Mesa High School and dated until we were married. We wrote to each other during our missions and spent a total of almost 3 years apart for our missions. And that is our story up until now!
