Swimming

Well, I have to say that last week in St. David was pretty fun and relaxing. I got to enjoy the somewhat cooler weather and I even got to snuggle with Bryn in the porch swing without being super sweaty. It was nice to have grandparents and aunts and uncles willing to help out so I could just relax sometimes. And the other fun thing we did was to go see The Dark Knight. It is an AWESOME movie if anyone hasn't seen it yet. And my mom babysat so I got to enjoy it without the baby. It was so weird! Anyways today Mom and Bryn and I went swimming. It was nice because the water is warm and school started here this week so we almost had the pool to ourselves. And then when we got home Bryn slept for 2 and a half hours! It was great. So here are a few pics She was already tired when we left and she likes the water but she had this weird expression all day. This first one is of her and her matching hat/suit/shades. It was really cute. This one is her grouchy face. She had a major pouty lip there, but still manages to be cute.
And here she is with Grandma.
We had fun and Bryn is starting to babble and it sounds more like words than just random sounds now. She also is starting to really be able to sit on her own. We have to watch her and she still falls over quite a bit but in the last week she has gained a lot more control. And other than that not much has happened. Oh, I did pull my toenail off and that hurt but now it feels much better. And congrats to my stepsister Rachelle who had her baby today, a girl born a week past her due date. Bryn has a new little cousin (although Rachelle and fam live in ID so they won't get to see each other all that often). And now back to life as normal (well as normal as it gets around here which isn't very).

My Toe

Hey all. So another week has gone by and not a ton has happened. I did end up hurting my toe pretty bad. I was going to post a picture but decided it was too sick. So here is my toe story. Justin and I were heading to our friend's house for dinner and I had the baby and a bag full of stuff. I go to close and lock our front door, but I am a klutz and I was concentrating on holding the baby and not letting her flop backwards so I completely forgot to move my foot while pulling the door closed. The door caught my toenail and ripped half of it up. Of course it killed and started bleeding everywhere. It was so gross. So far my nail hasn't fallen all the way off but it is about halfway hanging. So nasty!! And on Monday when it wasn't so hot we went outside to play with some bubbles and I got a few really cute shots.

Here are some bubbles getting Bryn in the face. Anyways that is all. Tomorrow I am going to head down to St. David with Bryn to spend some time with G & G Jones and some aunts and uncle. I will post some pics and stuff when we get back. Right now she is sitting in her Bumbo and talking to the tree out our front window. She also really likes Baby Einstein too. It keeps her entertained so I can eat sometimes! Love you all. Later!

Messy

ok, so Bryn had her 4 month checkup on Monday and it went really well. She weighs 16 lbs 3 oz and is 25.5 inches tall. She is in the 90th percentile for height and the 93rd for weight, so she is a BIG girl. Anyways we started her out on some rice cereal and she did so good besides making the hugest mess! At first she made the silliest face because she wasn't sure what I was trying to put in her mouth, but she started liking it after the first few bites. She kept grabbing the spoon and wiping it everywhere, and halfway through she sneezed it all over. It was so funny. Anyways I just thought I would post the quick update. See ya!

4 month old

So serious!

The fam.
Laughing at Grandma Pollard.

Hey! So yesterday on the 4th of July Brynlyn turned 4 months old and this week she finally started laughing!! We have been waiting because she smiled really early at about a month but hasn't laughed, then on Monday she finally laughed a ton and yesterday too. It was so cute. Here are some pics we took. The first one is at home and the rest are at Grandma and Grandpa Pollard's house where we went to spend the 4th. We ate an awesome BBQ and then played Phase 10 with the D'Backs game on on the background. It was pretty fun. We didn't go anywhere for fireworks, it was way too hot out to be holding a baby! And in other news we finally got a crib! It is so cute, we love it. Once we actually get sheets on it and stuff I will post pics but I am not sure how it's going to be for me to have Bryn sleeping in her own room. I might have a heart attack the first few nights and end up sleeping on the floor, but I think I will eventually adjust. Anyways that is all our news for now. I hope that everyone had a great 4th of July!
