Hey all. This week went by soo fast. Nothing really exciting happened, but Brynlyn has learned to roll from her back to her tummy. She will only stay on her back for as long as it takes to roll over now and she wants to sleep on her tummy as well, which makes Mom worry all night now. She also sleeps through the night so that is nice. She also makes me sing her to sleep at bedtime and she absolutely LOVES Rockabye Baby. I have no idea why but the second I start to sing it to her she calms down. She also really likes I Am A Child of God and I'm Trying to be Like Jesus. These pictures are of her rolling over today. She is so fun.



And Jamie and I had a fun girls night last night. We went to Arizona Mills mall and got some super cute baby clothes on sale. It was fun and nice to get out of the house. Well anyways I better go, Bryn doesn't like watching me type my post. See ya!

My funny baby

I think this is such a sweet picture. My mom and I and Bryn took some 3 generation pictures and Justin took this one of Bryn that I think is really cute for some reason. She just has a funny look on her face and I love that her hands are together like that. I also took some hilarious pictures yesterday. Her Great Grandma Jones gave her a lamb stuffed animal that she loves to lick. She will put everything in her mouth and she has a doll she likes to suck on, but she loves to LICK the lamb. I have no idea why but I think it is so dang funny and cute. Here is a series of pictures that show the entire process of a lick. I laughed my head off when I was editing them. Babies are so fun!!

And this is just one of her chewing on the lamb's ear. Other than that Justin and I painted on Saturday and so that was exciting. We painted one of our last white walls a light tan color in the family room. It looks a lot better. We now have only 3 places in our house where the walls aren't painted; 2 of the bedrooms and the long wall in the living room. It's crazy. We just like color. And Bryn has learned to grab her toes and she has almost gotten them to her mouth. She also likes to flirt with herself in the mirror. A quick funny story, when my mom came to visit a week ago and she had just gotten to our house she went and picked up Bryn. Bryn just looked at her and then just crumpled up her face and started bawling. She wouldn't stop until I held her for a while. She has never done that before but she is starting to recognize people and I think she just thought that Grandma was Mom at first and then freaked when she realized it wasn't. She has also started sleeping through the night from 9:30 until about 7:30, except for Sunday when she woke up at 2, but I made Justin feed her that time! As for me, I have recently bought the 1st 3 seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. What fun to watch them again and remember how much I loved that show. I know, I know, I am a big nerd but hey. Anyways that is all that we have done for awhile besides play Guitar Hero. I also have been working out with some ladies in the ward at 6am on Mon Wed and Fri and Tue/Thurs nights and that has been nice too. Except I really only make it to the Mon morning and Tues/Thurs classes because 6am insists on coming way too quickly after I've fallen asleep at midnight. So that is my long-winded update about pretty much nothing but since this is basically my journal I hope you enjoyed this entry. Love you all!

Daddy

I snapped this super cute picture after church last week. What a good dad Justin is and Bryn just loves him. When he gets home from work she just smiles. Well we had a fun weekend. My Mom came to visit and we went swimming and saw You don't mess with the Zohan (which is very dirty, but that's Adam Sandler right) and just had fun, except that Bryn and I both have a cold. Mine is worse and I am soo tired but we are getting better. Anyways I better go Bryn needs her nose suctioned out and is getting kinda grouchy. Later!

3 Months

Hey everyone!! Well just a quick update here on Bryn, she is feeling fine and has been eating like the little chanchita that she is lately, so I am glad that is over. She turned 3 months this past Wednesday and so I took some pics. She wasn't too happy because I put her in a dress and then for some of the pics we went outside and it was hot so only a few turned out. I did get some really funny faces though.
This is an indoor picture, notice how happy she looks. I thnk Bryn looks cutest in lime green, purple and blue with her skin tone, but it is still fun to dress her in pink. Before she was born I swore I wouldn't do that, but then you hold your little girl and all of a sudden girliness seems cool.
This is what she does with everything now, she tries to put it in her mouth. It is so funny to watch, but she gets all her clothes and blankets wet with slobber!
And this is one with her tongue out. I have so many pics of her like this because she is always sticking it out! They are just so Bryn though.
And finally this is a self portrait of us sitting at the computer last week. Look at that double chin. Brynlyn likes to sit on my lap while I am on the computer and try to play with the keyboard. Anyways that is all for now. BTW, we watched Stardust last night and I thought it was the cutest movie!!

our adventure

Ok, so we have had a stressful couple of days. On Friday Brynlyn started acting weird. She didn't want to sleep in her playpen and she hasn't had a problem with that in a while. Then when we woke up she was hot with a fever. I gave her some Tylenol and apart from being fussier than usual she seemed ok. Then Friday night was completely miserable. I was home by myself and probably got about 4 hours of sleep. She was drooling so bad and just wasn't herself. By noon on Saturday I realized that she had only eaten 4 ounces of formula which is completely weird for her. She is my pig! And I took her temp again and it was 101.1! I gave her some more Tylenol and tried to get her to eat more, but every time I tried she would just scream. By about 10pm we called our doctors hotline and the doctor on call said to take her to an Urgent Care. So off we went to the Urgent Care on Higley and Southern. We got there about 10:45 and they closed at 11 so we were lucky. The doctor examined her and found the problem. She has stomatitis which is basically a bunch of canker sores in the back of her mouth. There are like 4 and they are really inflamed and that's why she didn't want to swallow and was drooling so bad. The doctor said it's a virus that's been going around lately and will clear up in a few days. She recommended Pedialyte and so we went to Walmart at midnight and got some. So far today that is all she will drink. She won't take any formula but she will take the Pedialyte so she isn't too dehydrated. And the doctor said to not worry if she loses a little weight because she weighed in at 14 lbs. 7 oz. last night which means that in 3 weeks she's gained 1.5 lbs. What a huge baby!!! Anyways I was just so glad to find out what was hurting my baby. It is so hard on Moms to see their baby in pain and not know why! So she should be fine in a few days and I am so glad that it wasn't anything more serious!
