Our Trip to Sedona

Us before the trip.

Me in Sedona.

So last weekend we had a fun getaway weekend in the Sedona area. It was so nice to just get away for a few days and relax and do whatever we wanted. We went and visited Montezuma's Castle and Tuzigoot (fun but not all that exciting really). We also went to Jerome and that was fun but I would never live up there. The houses are built right out of the mountain and most hang out over cliffs. It was pretty freaky. We ate at this restaurant there called the Haunted Hamburger and it was really good. After that we rode the Verde Canyon Railroad and it was beautiful. We got to go on a starlit tour where the last hour is at night and you get to watch the stars come out and see how beautiful the night sky is. That was Friday. On Saturday we went to Sedona and drove up Oak Creek Canyon and shopped a little. All the stores have weird touristy things (if you don't believe me we saw some things called fairy divas which were gothic fairy figurines - weird) and so we got tired after about an hour of that and just went to our hotel and slept and lounged the rest of the day. It was a good vacation. But then on Monday it was hard to go back to work! So anyways that was our fun trip and now we are back and it is kind of nice because I get my afternoon nap now. I know, I know I am a wuss (but it really isn't my fault). This week is my stepsister Leah's wedding and so that should be fun.
P.S. I just watched the BBC version of Jane Eyre and it is awesome. If you like British period romances this one is great.

Sounds like you had fun. I'm jealous. I want to go on vacation. P.S. I'm so glad you are PG too!

Jared and I were up there last weekend too! We love Sedona- but I agree you can only shop for so long. Everything is kinda wierd and than you just see it over and over again. It's so relaxing though. The first time we brought little Connor up there, we went into one of those shops with pottery and stuff, he grabbed one of the 3 ft vases off the shelf from his stroller, it fell, rolled- WENT OUTSIDE and down the road. Jared barely caught it before it went into the street. Nothing happened, thank goodness we didn't have to pay $300 for it! But that's the last time we went "shopping" around :-) You take as many naps as you can get girl! I'm 6 months pregnant and still need my daily nap! It's hard growing another person :-)!!!
